It's because of the ridiculous humor. It has nothing to do with it being about facebook. It's like how Egoraptor's cartoons are still funny even if you have never played the games or have any idea what they're about.
Good delivery is good, no matter what it's about. Stephen Colbert can talk about his adopted eagle and make it funny.
Now, if your toon wasn't quality humor, then it'd be worth wondering about, but the timing was great and the art wasn't horrible, so it got a good score. Now go do it again.

i hate facebook. anything making any fun of it makes me scream of joy.
It's a few things, in my opinion.
One, the animation isn't horrible. It may be a quick gag, but it's accompanied with decent animation. This helps the score because it makes the flash look more like a legitimately good flash rather than a quick gag.
Two, the audience is composed of at least 50% idiots. Seriously, it's kind of awful. They'll give out 5's and 10's to ANYTHING that makes them laugh a bit. They don't know how to scale their votes to anything other than 0, 2, or 5. Instead of saying to themselves "well, I liked it, but there's much better stuff out there and this was more of a quick chuckle than a full-fledged flash odyssey, I'll give it a 3 or 4 instead of a perfect 5", they're saying "OMG I LOL'D 5 5 5 5 5".
A couple of years ago, nothing on this site would even reach 4.3. This includes the Top 50. The best fucking flash on the site would peak at 4.28, flash that took months of hard work by the most skilled people in the community. Standards have changed since then.
Imagine people posting twitters every time they leave the house. The house then gets robbed.

I think it pokes fun at the idiots who use such self indulging ego building crap. 99% of the people who use social networking do it for attention, like the kid who talked out in class just to get the attention of being yelled at by the teacher.
Because I have a classroom at college where everyone goes on facebook but me, and it is something that they would all do.
Nothing like flaming a torch on a certain type of addiction every now and then.
